Nassau, Bahamas

We took the day off from building sandcastles, and hiked around beautiful Nassau. It was a long walk up to Fort Charlotte, but well worth it for the view of our ship and spooky dungeons. We then walked back to town and went to the Pirates of Nassau museum. That was a most frightening experience for the girls, especially the dark room with simulated pirate attack. Estelle was particularly moved by a diorama of a marooned pirate. She stood and stared at the poor man being punished for a long time, possibly hoping that never happens to her when she is naughty. In fact, the Pirate Museum really made an impression on Estelle. During nap time later that day, she chatted herself to sleep saying "I'm a pirate"!
