Babywearing for Dummies

My sweet friend Annie lent me one of her baby-wraps to carry Alice around the house in. The concept is great, and I had practiced trying it on before Alice was born, but it just wasn't as easy to get a squirming baby into the thing... This is the series of knots produced by my clumsy efforts.

I guess I'll try again tomorrow...

(in the end, Alice didn't seem to mind that I got it wrong!)

Hi Luguy and Baby Alice! I finally got to visit your blog - what a great idea! Lucy, sorry to hear that you had such a tough time, but it's over now and look at your reward - she's absolutely beautiful! You look great for such a brand new mom (I'm jealous) and I think it's great you guys were brave enough to go on an outing to celebrate Alice's one week birthday (also envious)! I was not so brave. I'd love to get to visit you guys once you feel up to it. In the meantime, enjoy and rest. We're off to baby aquatics...it's so fun. Take care and all the best!
