And come again for the next tooth. Alice's first tooth finally fell out last night, after dangling for over a month

There was an incredible storm in the Laval area last week. Hundreds of trees down in our neighborhood and over 50,000 people without power. The power of the storm was impressive, and a few trees fell in the rights direction in our yard, but we were incredibly lucky not to have worse damage. Some people are still without power and lines are dangling in the street 4 days later.    

Lucky us - we had a sleepover party with our two favorite little Le Gardeurites: Olivia and Emma! Alice and Estelle's lovely cousins came for an overnight visit to play and swim. Unfortunately, we were so busy these are the only photos we got of the girls, but there was so much more fun off-camera! Emma pose Olivia the mighty swimmer. Estelle was very impressed by her younger cousins bravery and skill, and so has made leaps and bounds (paddles and strokes) in the pool since the visit.   Sweet Estelle: "I'm going to marry a joker like Daddy"   The pool noodle straddle challenge.

Despite the sweltering heat, we took advantage of our staycation and made a trek to Montreal's Botanical Gardens to see Mosaiculture - a green sculpture exhibit. Wowie, wow, wow! It was well worth the heat stroke to see the marvelous display of greenery and all the hardworking people watering, weeding, and sculpting (Lucy tried to kidnap a few to work on our home garden which is much in need of some specialists...)             One of our faves - Mother Earth Estelle looked at the monkeys for quite awhile. They must have looked quite real. This one even had birdsong recordings!
