Tire Swing

Spot your Wombat!

On Thursday, I had the pleasure of attending Alice's end of year show for the pre-K school she has been attending for the past year. The show was performed by three classes - two 3-4 year-old groups and one 4-5 year-old group. Each class gave 4 perfo rmances and the whole show was followed by a huge snack-buffet. Alice's group, Les Lucioles (fireflies), sang a firefly song, in costume, then acted out a springtime awakening, they then gave a play about a star looking for a home "dans ton bedon" (in your tummy), and finished with a gymnastic circuit. It was so exciting to see all the little people working hard to present what they had worked on for so long. Alice seemd to take her performance seriously, but was definitely not seeking out the limelight (see the luciole movie) Is she getting into character? Is that how it's done, Gareth?

Project Runway

Lucy's new hobby... sewing! First project: matching dresses for the girls. It took two months to finish Alice's... So Estelle got a very cute (and easy) skirt!

We miss you sun!

It's been a rainy weekend in Laval, and we're already daydreaming about running around in the sprinkler again...

Camping Trial 2

Floating walkway at OKA. Estelle under the spotlight. Getting ready for the beach.

Camping Trial

Last fall we bought a used camper for a great deal and spent the springtime fixing it up. We finally got it out for a test drive at a nearby campground (OKA). The weather was great and we had a blast. Only complaint is that due to the recent dry-spell camp-fires were banned. Hey Obama : the marshmallow industry needs a bail-out... Lucy put together a top-notch menu. Not too easy to get the girls to settle down before bed-time. Can you blame them. They did go down after some stern shushing and the second night was a breeze. If I end up going camping/fishing with some buddies I have to remember to leave ONE thing behind. I bet you cant guess. Some blueberry pancakes for breakfast! We were even changing diapers in the great outdoors.
