Scanning Macaroni?!

We wanted to share a few of Alice's recent school projects with you (especially you, Daddy) She really loves going to school, and always wake up with an extra spring in her step on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Other days of the week, we play school, so her friends and teachers are never far from our daily lives.

Christmas Bazaar!

What fun we had at the Morin-Heights United Church Christmas bazaar this morning. Soup, sandwiches and dainties, a craft table, and baked goods for sale. Thank-you Morin-Heights church ladies (and Grandad!) Soup, soup, wonderful soup! Less smiling more spooning, Auntie K! Estelle's chic new sweater from Great-Gran. The European trends are just fab this fall!

"Pareil comme Simonne"

Alice aime beaucoup son amie Simonne et elle s'est décidée qu'elle aimerait avoir des cheveux frisés aussi... Alors nous avons mis des tresses dans ses cheveux mouillés avant de se coucher, et ce matin, voila! Une tête toute frisée!

The Early Shift

This picture was taken early this morning before Estelle was fully dressed. In fact here she is running away from me, coy smile and all, as I try to corral her into her dress. The time? Who knows, but look at the window, it's still dark!

Party time

Lucy making some last minute repairs. The BIG TABLE making its official debut. The big kids got to eat on a small picnic table in Estelles Room. Not only was Gareth getting totally inappropriate gifts (see below), putting wrapping paper in his mouth but he was also teaching Estelle to stick out her toungue. This behavior is duly noted.

Estelle's First Birthday

Estelle has been 0 years old for 365 days now (as Alice would say). We had a great big party in her honour. Gareth was rather shocked that she liked cake so much. Its cake, she has mostly been eating luke-warm barley poridge so far... what did you expect. Estelle showing off her new-found mobility. She has all but given up her bum-shuffling ways now and spends her time going from room to room picking up things and bringing them to us. I will get to you later Mr. Turtle.

Bunny Cake

Estelle has grown quite attached to her bunny (AKA Mr. Bun Bun). So it was appropriate that her first birthday cake was a bunny (carrot cake). Most requested part? the eyes of course!

Rules will be more clear next year!!!

Lucy told Gareth 2 rules 1. Nothing big 2. Anything you want. I guess rule #2 trumps #1. You think that it was worth it? Guy showing why "Tiny" can't sleep in Estelle's Crib.

Full time job!

Estelle has been walking around more and more and is clearly more adventurous than Alice was at the same age. We're on full time alert for this one.

What's your mustache made of?

Well well, look who has joined the cause! Time to wash off your your mustache dad. What the hey hey!!?

Vaccinated Girls

We were able to get the girls vaccinated yesterday; the girls were very brave. In case you were sick of seeing my ugly mug... Unfortunately the beard gives away the age of the photo.

No Doubt

Second shave and there is no doubt to new-commers that I am trying to pull off a set of handle-bars. Check out the Movember links to the right to find out Why.

Sloppy Joe?

The first shave has not exactly revealed a fully formed stash. Looks more like i have some sauce i need to wipe off.

Anti-Mo

In the true spirit of Movember (see links on the right) I decided to shave an "Anti-Mo" or anti-mustache before going totally bald face. See the donation page for more up to date pics. At first my face was mad at the new look. Even my hair was trying to escape. It eventually calmed down (apparently in Dixie cup full of pills kinda way). Look like anyone you know? You have to wait till tomorrow for the full bald face shots.
