Nice try...

... But just because Estelle has and Inuit hat and mittens, that doesn't mean she ca n go with you to Raglan, Guy.

You can't find me!

Playing hide-and-go-seek with a 2 1/2 year old is so much fun!

Father's Day

Dad, You have only been gone for a few days, but we miss you very much! It was great to have you home for Father's Day, and we hope that you are using the coffee mugs we gave you. xxx Alice & Estelle

Swimming

The water was chilly, but a few brave souls took the plunge last week.

Woolly Mammoth

We had an ever-so-slight weed problem at the side of our house. If you have any dandelions in your yard, we may in fact be responsible for their propagation. Anyhow, we decided to take care of it by laying down a suffocating tarp, and then laying a the remains of a giant hairy mammoth over it. Problem solved! We're now looking for some shade resistant shrubs to spruce up the woolly part of our yard. Any suggestions?

Long Sault

This week we spent the day fishing in Ontario with our friends Dan and Maryam . We got to have a long drive in the new van, eat yummy food, play in the sun, and Guy caught a great big one!

Gloria

We present to you the fifth (and final) member of our little clan: Gloria the Van. We decided to make the final suburban leap from our small Matrix to a great big van. Grandad's car guide has a review of the Nissan Quest which describes it as a big, comfortable hippopotamus! So we decided to name her Gloria, for the hippo in Madagascar. Now we can travel comfortably for our summer trips (Maine, Stratford ) and to other exotic (camping) destinations.

Bricolages

Alice a profite de la belle visite de Mémé pour se pratiquer avec des sciseaux et faire des beaux dessins! Merci pour la visite, Lyse.

Squishy bananas

Estelle's first try at self-feeding. She was a little confused at first, but soon got the hang of it.

Sisters

Alice getting ready for a trek with Dad's Camelback Estelle is amused by her big sister's tricks This cereal is actually pretty good! Cute head tilt!

Artist at work

Here is a drawing that Alice coloured this morning for you daddy.  It might look like scribbles to some, but I was so impressed by how she focuses the crayon on each area of the drawing. Notice the plant is red, the watering can is pink, Gabriela is purple (with pale pink lulus) and the circle in the upper corner is green.  Who knew you could be so proud of a few simple lines on a piece of paper!

Family resemblance?

Last week Estelle had her 6 month check-up and vaccinations. All is well with our little one, and she is in the 40 th percentile for weight, and 80 th percentile for height. Long and wiry... like someone else we all know!
