Guy is not the artistic one

I tried carving Alice's face in the pumpkin. I followed the steps carefully (some photoshop, some carefull transfering and lots of delicate carving). The final product was somewhat disturbing. Alice stood there like she was looking in the mirror for the first time (a creepy distorted fun-house mirror that is). Alice tried her best to improve it, but it was too little to late.

'Tis the season

Big man - big pumpkin. Little girl - little pumpkin.

My new ride

Ahem, OUR new ride I should say. This is the new double stroller we plan on using for outings as soon as baby #2 is big enough to be strapped in. For now, Alice is using the sister side for her toys!

Mashed potatoes

Straight off the spoon!

Un cadeau pour toi, bébé

Alice and Guy hard at work wrapping at present that Alice chose for her baby sister. After they finished wrapping, Alice wanted to open the gift - it was no easy feat convincing her that she would have to wait for the baby's arrival to "help" unwrap it.

Alice in Manitoba

Alice has gone to Manitoba to visit with her Dad's side of the family. There are alot of thing to do here including horsies, tractor rides with Pepe, visits from cousins and walks in the forest. Alice getting lulus from a professional (see below) It appears that the male gene is recessive in my family!! Pepe has a bigger tractor but this one seemed safer. A less modern farm implement. Pepe's new ponies (Ginger and No-Name).

Lanterns

Another big outing for our busy family... Chinese lanterns and decorated pumpkins at the Jardins Botanique in Montreal. A fountain and lanterns - what more could a girl want? Captivated How long did that take?!? Look at those big teeth!

This year we zagged...

Every year at this time, Quebecers flock to apple orchards all across the south of the province to pluck bags of the red gems (Lobo, McIntosh, Spartan, Cortland...) which they cart home to turn into crisps, pies, cakes and sauces. While we usually head out for our own sack of ripe sweeties, our fruit bowl was already full, and so we opted for a slightly less common crop: the pumpkin!!! We made our way out to the west island and hopped on the tractor at "La ferme Labonté" to hike amongst Cinderella's orange globes. After choosing our pumpkins and navigating the corn maze (it was a tricky one, but Alice found her way out) we headed back to buy some delicious muffins and to visit with the llama. Let's get this wagon going Alice gets a better view from up high Giant tarantulas in the forest! (We assured Alice that these were not real, only part of the Peruvian theme) Our brave adventurer heads up the suspended bridge Her first fake smile? Oh yes, there were some apple...

Waiting for you little one...

And Alice is keeping your carseat warm until you get here! (only 5 weeks to go!)
